I have been searching over the past few months for an invoicing system that is mobile and easy to use. At Bob’s we use an old Microsoft Retail Management System (RMS) installation to issue invoices to walk-in wholesale customers buying finished product and surplus plugs. This software is designed to be a full POS system so it is kind of like using a sledge hammer to swat a fly. Also, it is old and clunky.
I knew there had to be a better system so I did some Google-Fu and a few searches on Reddit. Nine times out of ten, folks recommended WaveApps. I downloaded the App to my iPhone (it also has a really nice web interface too), and within minutes I was populating item lists and pricing. The great thing is that it is scalable. I am now using it to fully run the financial aspects of Geeky Garden Tech.
Here are some of its awesome features:
Invoices can be emailed, printed, or saved as PDFs.
Customers can pay invoices via credit/debit card directly from the email.
You can easily manage paid invoices and generate aging reports.
Invoice templates can be personalized.
Item prices can be adjust from the price listed per invoice (great for issuing discounts or custom amounts).
Tax rates can be set per item.
It is also a full accounting suite supporting expenses and even payroll.
